About Jackie
Jackie Gonzales, PhD, is the founder and owner of Mirandola Research, LLC.
She has been the Principal Investigator and project manager on many projects for the U.S. National Park Service, including special history studies, administrative histories, interpretive content, and other reports and narrative studies.
For attorneys, environmental firms, and government agencies, she has conducted research related to environmental litigation, contaminated site history, corporate succession, land ownership history, and other land use history issues.
Jackie has also applied her interdisciplinary training as an environmental historian to work with non-profits on communications, content development, and outreach.
Originally from Lawrenceville, Georgia, Jackie now lives in the beautiful city of Albany, New York.
Experience
Jackie’s previous work experience includes seven years with Historical Research Associates, Inc., in Seattle, Washington and Albany, New York. Prior to that, she worked for the U.S. National Park Service at Cape Cod National Seashore, Manzanar National Historic Site, and Chickamauga and Chattanooga National Military Park. She has also worked for environmental groups in Albany, including Environmental Advocates of New York and Parks & Trails New York. She has served on the City of Albany Sustainability Advisory Committee and the board of the Volunteer Park Trust in Seattle.
Jackie is currently on the board of Walkable Albany and does advocacy and organizing work with Capital Streets to make the Capital Region more liveable, walkable, bikeable, and equitable.
